Mojitos cocktails are a refreshing summer staple, whether you’re Cuban or not. Lately I have been revisiting cocktail recipes and improving upon them. With a focus on cocktails that incorporate more herbs and/or fruits, keeping healthy while indulging is made easier. Whip these up and call on summer vibes into a cocktail glass and into your soul. Mojitos Cocktails
Ingredients
- 6 ounces light rum
- 12 mint sprigs, or spearmint, 8 roughly broken apart
- 6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- Club soda
- 4 slices lime
Prepare
- First, place 8 mint springs and sugar in beverage shaker and grind down with a muddler.
- Next, add ice in beverage shaker then add in the rum and lime juice.
- Shake well and serve over ice in a high ball glass. Top off each glass with a splash of club soda.
- Finally, garnish each with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint.
