It should come as no surprise that I am a fan of smoothies and I like to enjoy them daily. In order to break out of the mundane routine, I have set out to try new ingredients in my smoothies. I love avocados but have never been able to get passed the idea of putting them into my smoothies. This worked out perfectly as you don’t taste the avocado as the mint is the more prominent flavor in this smoothie.
Also, I recently bought the Vitamix Ascent A3500. Coming from a Ninja wasn’t bad, Ninja’s work great with their multiple blades. I had to see what the hype was about myself. It has a specific setting for smoothies that I didn’t quite understand at first. The smoothie blend cycle is set to 50 seconds. The first 10 seconds blend on a speed of 5+ then increases to gradually to a speed of 10. This setting will leave your smoothie the smoothest you’ve ever had it!
Green Machine Hydrating Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut water
- 2 cups spinach
- mint, 5 sprigs
- 1/2 Haas avocado
- 1 scoop of your favorite greens supplement, I use Activated You’s Morning Complete
Prepare
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend for one minute.
